SJS6 - "Buddhist monks serve iftar for Muslims in Bangladesh"

Source:  Opu, Mahmud Hossain. "Buddhist Monks Serve Iftar for Muslims in Bangladesh." Al Jazeera English. Al Jazeera, 25 June 2016. Web. 11 May 2017.

Author Credentials: Opu is qualified to be writing an article about Buddhist monks because at looking through their profile he tends to write about topics in Bangladesh. Also Al-Jazeera is a trusted news website that has been trusted to provide truthful author's.

Summary:   The article is about how Buddhist monks in Bangladesh have made meals for poor Muslims during Ramadan for iftar. Iftar is when the Muslims break their fast. The Buddhist doing this for the Muslims shows that there can be friendliness between the religions and to help each other. As in history the religions have clashed, and Muslims are not well represented in the country. Also, it's nice to see how conflicting religions can help eachother out in times of religious celebration for the other.

Analysis:  The authors argument is that by the Buddhist monks supporting the poor Muslims in time of religious celebration may be a step towards some relinquish of fighting between religions in South Asia. He supports his article with facts, quotes, and pictures that were taking during this peaceful transaction.
